An essential player in the gas sector, our company has become a major partner in gas valves with one of the broadest ranges on the market, designed for applications ranging from underground and above-ground pre-meter networks to domestic, industrial and commercial post-meter installations supplied with Natural Gas, Butane and Propane.

1928
Lucien Banides creates a copper and brass foundry specialised in manufacturing gas and water valves and brass and copperware
1947
Lucien Banides and Jacques Debeaurain join forces to create Ets Banides et Debeaurain, in a new factory located at Tréport (Seine-Maritime)
1980
Undisputed leader in France, Banides develops internationally and diversifies its business into plastics and particularly polyethylene (PE)
1987
Recognised in the market for its expertise, Banides continues its quality policy and obtains ISO 9001 certification
2009
As a pioneer, Banides launches new piping for gas installations on the French market, a real alternative to copper: PLT TracPipe®
2016
Banides and GRDF jointly develop a product to safeguard the existing gas distribution network: DPBE (device to protect existing connections)
2016

Our knowledge of materials.
To design safe and easy-to-use products, our company relies on its extensive expertise in working with materials (brass, copper, steel, plastic) and assembling them (metal/plastic, copper/steel fittings, etc.).
We adapt to changes in the market and are focused on customer needs. This is why, in 1994, we invested in a plastic injection plant to meet new needs for the pre-meter market, which is changing from brass components to Polyethylene solutions.
Our specialised Design Office allows us to work with the customer to develop a product responding to a particular problem. Safeguarding gas networks is one of the priorities for energy distributors, so we have gained sound expertise in safety, particularly in designing devices triggered by high flow rates for new and existing Polyethylene networks.

ISO 9001 certification
ISO 9001 certified for more than 30 years, our company has a Certification Laboratory enabling it to carry out fully independent tests, the results of which are recognised under French NF certification. It is continuing its efforts to control quality by developing a strengthened traceability system for its products.

To ensure the quality of our products, our company has implemented a quality control process at every manufacturing step and has acquired appropriate inspection tools (spectrometer, optical camera, three-dimensional, M.F.R., hydrostatic tank, etc.). Most of our products stamped with the 'BD' mark are NF-certified by Certigaz and authorised for use by GRDF.
